Job Description

Contract thru EOY 2027 - 100% REMOTE - Must Be able to Work Eastern Time Zone -

Microsoft Dynamics 365/Power Platform Administrator (80%) - Pay $65/hr - $75/hr

CBTS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer III to serve as a Power Platform Administrator / Engineer within the Digital Workplace Engineering team. This role is centered on administering and supporting a mature enterprise Microsoft Power Platform environment — approximately 75–80% administration and 20–25% development-related knowledge. The contractor will also support the bank's early-stage Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation while continuing to manage the existing Power Platform environment. A key part of this role is enabling and governing citizen developers: advising, troubleshooting, and mentoring business users who build their own Power Apps and Power Automate solutions. Strong verbal communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences are essential, as this is emphasized as heavily as technical skill for this opening.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support a mature, enterprise-scale Microsoft Power Platform environment (80% of the Role), including environment management, governance, security, DLP policies, connectors, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for Power Apps (Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps) and Power Automate solutions built by citizen developers and internal teams.
  • Support the organization's ongoing Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation while maintaining the broader Power Platform environment.
  • Advise, troubleshoot with, and provide recommendations to citizen developers, balancing enablement with appropriate governance.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced users and developers on Power Platform best practices, without necessarily building applications directly.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with Power Apps and Power Automate flows that have stopped working or are behaving unexpectedly.
  • Communicate technical concepts, governance requirements, and troubleshooting guidance clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the broader CTO organization and Digital Workplace Engineering team to maintain platform health and adoption.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience, with enterprise Microsoft Power Platform administration as the core of that experience — not simply one of many Microsoft technologies listed on a resume.
  • Proven experience administering a mature, enterprise-scale Power Platform environment, including governance, security, DLP policies, connectors, and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, including both Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps, sufficient to troubleshoot and mentor others (primary application-building is not the main expectation of this role).
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate beyond basic flow creation.
  • Experience administering or implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or mentoring citizen developers, including balancing enablement with governance.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to teach users, collaborate across teams, demonstrate patience, and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Hiring manager has indicated this is weighted as heavily as technical skill and wants this specifically screened for in interviews]
  • Ability to work primarily within Eastern Time business hours.
  • Local candidates preferred but not required; fully remote/virtual work is acceptable.
