Job Title : Forklift operator

Location: USA CT - Canaan Route 7 and Grace Way, Canaan, CT 06018

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 7am-7pm ( M,T  ,F,S,S    W,T )

Pay rate :$23/hr/ on W2

Responsibilities:

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker.
• Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site.
• Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks. · Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes).
• Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required. Education and

Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
• Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.

Physical needs:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing/pulling, and repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., depending on the work area.
• May occasionally require climbing, kneeling, crouching, or balancing.
• Requires adequate vision and hearing to safely operate equipment.
• Work environment may include loud noise, moving equipment, and occasional fumes/airborne particles.
• Medical evaluation may be required where applicable.
